Dave Brenneman and I birded Finzel Swamp today and flushed four Ruffed Grouse. The first two went up on the left side of the path about half way between the parking lot and first bridge. The 3rd went up just after you pass through the gate/fence and the 4th was on the back side of the far pond. We also saw/heard Alder Flycatchers (to the left of the 2nd bridge) as well as a very close up view of a Virginia Rail at the 2nd bridge.
