Apologies for the delayed post. Mike Welch and I saw one of the Washington
County Eurasian Collared-Doves this morning at about 9 AM after searching
for about an hour. We were joined by Jared Fisher in our search and we
were teased several times by vocalization but the bird was always at a
distance and we could not track it down. It seemed to always be on the
move. Mike Welch finally spotted it almost directly at the intersection of
Lehman's Mill and Marsh Pike. It was in the SE corner (best viewed from
Lehman's Mill Rd) favoring the tallest trees. We only saw one bird.
We all agreed that this bird took some patience to find.
