In addition to the horned grebe at the inlet, the towpath downstream of Violettes had a lot of diversity this morning including a warbling vireo, willow flycatcher, common merganser (1 male), Louisiana waterthrush, barred owl, orchard orioles, and a pair of mature bald eagles perched across the first impoundment. Also, a yellow-throated warbler continues to sing but not show itself below Blockhouse Point.
