The road crosses RR tracks and there is a large decrepit wooden building south of the road. The two birds were feeding on spilled corn between the tracks and the building. This is maybe a quarter mile from Lehman's Mill, which Hans Holbrook mentioned in his post. Photos:

I reached the same spot about 4:30 today, but no doves showing. I got the ok for parking in a spot just before you get to the decrepit grain mill building--it's on the left (heading east) with a mailbox saying Gary Martin at the end of it, and is big enough to hold at least 6 cars. Mr and Mrs Martin's house is across the road, next door to the mill. They came up to me to ask what was up with so many folks with binoculars around the area, and were a delightful couple, very friendly. With permission to leave my car for awhile, I just enjoyed the weather and walked east on Reidtown, past Lehman's mill--wonderful bucolic scene just past there with goats and shaggy little kids, and 3 or 4 varied domestic ducks--so cute! Enjoyed a pair of kingbirds sort of floating thru the air over a field--flying like swallows, but very slow--interesting. Nice walk, couple of mourning doves got careful looks, but no sign of THE doves.

When I got back, I hung out around the mill for a bit, and Mrs. Martin saw me and came to ask if I'd seen the birds. THIS time, I thought to ask her if it would be ok to walk around the mill, and she said it would be fine.

The doves were in back of the mill pecking around in some gravel with about 30 house sparrows getting dust baths just beyond them!

ps I think anyone could park where I did, as long as space for 2 or 3 cars was left for the Martins--I saw that they had at least two when they drove off.
