Yesterday I birded along Pineymountain Rd. off of Sang Run Rd. in Garrett County and had an apparent singing male Summer Tanager in the woods on the right side of the road heading south a short distance before you reach the power cut that traverses the road. I never got a visual, but the bird came in close and responded to playback. He constantly moved around the treetops and sang for 1-2 minutes while I tried to locate him, but eventually moved farther back off the road before I could get a visual. I noticed there aren't any Garrett Co. records in ebird, so I thought it worth mentioning in case anyone else in the area wants to pursue.
