Subject: [MDBirding] Support Dyke Marsh's Bird Habitat!

Hi Everyone,

Dyke Marsh, while not in Maryland is a very popular birding destination for many DC and Maryland Birders. Sadly, if nothing is done, Dyke Marsh will erode away to nothing in the next 20 years. Over the years viable wetlands on the Potomac and their bird life have steadily disappeared. But this doesn't have to continue - the National Park Service is considering a significant restoration plan that would increase the marsh by up to 1000% (Alternative D).

Friends of Dyke Marsh support NPS and their full restoration but others are organizing against this NPS expenditure. Please take a moment to tell NPS that as a member of the Birding Community, you support "Alternative D" that will fully restore Dyke Marsh as an important migrant and wintering ground for waterfowl, rails, shorebirds, herons and other wildlife!

Here's the Link: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/document.cfm?parkID=186&projectID=20293&documentID=47011

Thanks!
