Comments: Jay Sheppard was traveling east on Rte 198 from Fort Meade to
Laurel. He pulled off onto the access road at Ourisman Honda & Volkswagen when
he saw a Broad-winged Hawk circling overhead. Jay called me at 4:55 pm and I
looked into the sky in that direction from my front porch, but did not see the
hawk. Earlier that day around 3:00 p.m., I had at least two Red-shouldered Hawks calling from the forested-area behind my house.
