Hi,

Laura in case you haven't left your home yet or perhaps you can read this in the field. And perhaps this will help others.

I'm not clear on whether or not one is supposed to park across from the house at the end of the road or down the little driveway a short distance ahead but it probably doesn't matter either way. Finzel Swamp has one trail that goes around the right side of the swamp as you walk in from the parking areas. At the opposite end of the wetland there is a fence and sign where the trail continues. It leads to a loop trail around a pond. Just before the previously mentioned fence is a trail that goes off to the right into the woods but I haven't taken it very far.

It's a very interesting preserve and it not very large so it can be birded in a relatively short period of time if one wishes.
