I had the chance to briefly stop in Bladensburg Waterfront Park today prior to an afternoon meeting and saw three Least Terns flying over the mudflats and river. I got fairly good views of the birds in flight as they went back in forth over the river. Also present were 21 Killdeer and 8 Ring-billed Gulls. It was pretty hot at this point, and very quiet otherwise.
