This afternoon I ventured out into the heat to try again for the LEAST
TERNS that have been seen at Bladensburg Waterfront Park. This time I
arrived very close to low tide and was successful: two terns were
foraging over and roosting on the mud flats, opposite the fishing
pier. Also present were at least 10 KILLDEER, 17 RING-BILLED GULLS,
and a few CANADA GEESE and MALLARDS.
