I would suggest allowing nature to take its course. Intervention would require approval from state and federal wildlife officials especially removing the chick from the nest. Officer Mike Lathroum Maryland Natural Resources Police 410-260-8888

Can anyone suggest something or should nature just take its course? Please don't write back to me with suggestions, contact Steve directly. Thanks!

Subject: Urgent: Osprey Chick Rescue

I'm contacting you regarding one of the two chicks featured at CheseapeakeBayOspreyCam.com. The nest is located in nearby Turkey Point. As you can see if you visit the site, it is distressed from the heat. I'm seeking a referral of someone who can advise us on ways to safely cool the nest. Or, if warranted and appropriate, temporarily relocate the chick until it can strengthen and be returned to the nest.

For any help, heartfelt thanks in advance. Please reply all, so the others know a response is underway.
