Marty Cribb called me yesterday morning relaying a message from Patty Craig that she had found an ibis in the pond at Pt. Lookout near the point. She apparently had a fire in the woods near her house so she was busy the rest of the day dealing with that but I spoke to her late yesterday afternoon and she thinks the bird might be a White-faced Ibis. She had gone back home to get her scope but couldn't relocate it when she returned. I was hoping that she would post directly since this is second hand but I didn't see an email so thought it might be of interest for anyone who might be in the area. I believe this would be a first MD record on the western shore. Glossy Ibises tend to show up in St. Mary's later in the summer but this wouldn't be that far off of normal dates.
