Subject: [MDBirding] New Germany State Park 7/6

Despite the hot, sticky weather, I decided to head out to New Germany SP. I got their around 8ish with very poor lighting as the low-level clouds were not quite lifted yet. Finally the sun broke through and it seemed the birds knew it. It was hopping!.....literally.

I parked up in the upper parking lot that takes you to the Pink Trail. I didn't even have to leave the lot. Magnolias, Blackburnians, Yellow-Rumped and Black-Throated Greens were very active. As well as the Golden-crowned Kinglets. I also spotted some Chestnut-Sided Warblers. A pair of Blue-Headed Vireos were very vocal and active as well.

This is my first time at this spot and it sure wasn't a disappointment :)
