I've been bad about not posting lately. Here are a few recent checklists.

On Saturday (7/7), I got the Blue Grosbeak that Frode (and others
since) had on Russell Road. While sitting in my car listening to the
Grosbeak and a Vesper Sparrow, I watched a huge Black Bear cross the
dirt Road on Russell Road (see checklist for a crummy photo). I had to
give a quick chase to get the photo.

The day before (Friday 7/6) I birded at Burning Mines Road and Old
Legislative Road (Thursday too). I heard an odd sounding nuthatch
calling on Friday while I was at Old Legislative Road after walking up
the hill on the east side of OL Road and just north of Squirrel Neck
Road. The habitat isn't right for RB Nuthatch but it sort of sounded
like one. The trail takes you to the other side of the woods from the
typical Henslows Spot.

Burning Mines Road (Friday) - Vesper Sparrow, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.

Old Legislative (Friday) - Henslows Sparrow (only 1 back here) and
White-eyed Vireo

Old Legislative Road (Tuesday) - Henslows and Grasshopper Sparrows, YB Chat etc.
