Don't know if this is ofinterest to anyone or not but I was helping my son with a boy scout merit badge the last couple of days at the Mears area of Patapsco Valley State Park off of Rolling Road and Foxhall Farm Rds. Yesterday I saw one American Kestrel, today I saw two American Kestrels. in the first big fieldat least one of them appeared to be catching insects and eating them while perching in a black locust tree.
I don't see as many Kestrels as I used to so I thought this might be of interest to someone, Mike
