I was up early to beat the heat and humdity. Plan was to go to Morgun Run, but as I was sitting at the light at the intersection of Rt. 27 and Kate Wagner Rd. I heard the infamous call of a Dickcissel. Decided to pull off on the dirveway that leads to that BIG mansion that's for sale. I was delighted to hear more Dickcissels. I heard/saw about 5 in total. Along with a few Grasshopper Sparrows.
Needless to say, I never made it to Morgun Run as I spent the good part of the morning on Kate Wagner.
