Birded Centennial Park yesterday before the heat set in and had my first Spotted and Solitary Sandpipers. The Solitary was at the pond near the dam and the Spotted flew onto the island across from the concession stand. Purple Martins are very active over the wildlife end....closest to the box across the street where they nested.
Most exciting for me as a novice Odonate person was a first county record of Rambur�s Forktail with one male and 2 females http://flic.kr/p/czwHZb . (the females are red!)
