It could also be heading to Africa where it normally over winters. I may have photographed this species in Ethiopia.

Subject: [MDBirding] godwit heading south?
Since there have been no new reports of the Prime Hook, DE Black-tailed Godwit since it disappeared Saturday morning seen flying south, isn't it possible that it flew into MD before finding some decent habitat? Seems like Chincoteague Bay would be a great place to stop, hopefully north of the VA line, tho ;)
