Today while biking the C&O Canal, we saw a Mute Swan on the Potomac
around a mile east of Pennyfield where the Potomac curves to the left
(if you are coming from Pennyfield). There were also the usual Canada
Geese and on the far side a Great Egret. Another Egret was west of
Pennyfield in the pond where the Ibis had been. Baby Woodducks were
beneath the trees on the canal a little down from the swan.
