Hi Andy,

Sorry,but I'm not sure. I'd like to be able to say it was a Henslow's but the markings were somewhat indistinct and I didn't get a good look at the whole bird. There were Song and Swamp Sparrows in the vicinity (a meadow/low brush area about 1/2 of the way out to the pond) and the bird could conceivably have been an immature of either - it did seem small for a Song and lacked distinctive malar striping, rounded tail or breast spot. Any ideas about the banding?
