The "White" Great Blue Heron was at the Big Pond last night around 7 pm. Stop 3 of the Beaver Trail. Just 20 yards out.

Bob and I took a spur of the moment trip to western MD yesterday. Since we didn't get there until later in the afternoon, we didn't have a lot of highlights (Canada Warbler near New Germany, not much at the Terminus or Finzel). We stopped by Big Pool on the way home and saw the heron from the road to the boat ramp where Bob snapped this quick shot at about 7:30PM.
