This afternoon's highlight (July 29) was two Ruddy Turnstones at Oxon Cove, Prince George's County. They flew low over the flats, circled once, then disappeared. Numbers of the more expected shorebird species there are also increasing with 19 Killdeers, 4 Semipalmated Plovers, 1 Semi-sandpiper, 23 Leasts and 4 spotted.
Bladensburg waterfront park also hosted 2 semi-plovers and 1 semi-sand this afternoon.
