Hi all-
The highlights of an otherwise disastrous evening at Nationals Park tonight
both had wings. Early in the game, I saw an OSPREY with a fish (I assume)
in its talons flying in towards the stadium from left field. The bird then
perched atop the left field foul pole (during the game!) for a moment,
before taking off across the whole stadium and out towards the river. It
(or another Osprey) later returned and perched near (on?) the lights in
center field near the scoreboard.
Just a minute or two after the first Osprey arrived, another bird came
zooming over the stadium - in from left field and out over the seats behind
home plate - a PEREGRINE FALCON.
