Going back even further (to Saturday July 28) I birded at Russell Road and vicinity. Blue Grosbeak (s) are still evident there with Vesper, Grasshopper and Henslow's Sparrows. The Henslow's are past the mining area (up the hill) both before and after the 1st wooded area. I was surprised to see an immature Bald Eagle flying around here too. I suppose its not far away from the Savage River Reservoir or perhaps migration more typical of mid-September is starting already ? I dunno. I have yet to add the photo that I promised in my eBird comment.
