Birded Meadowside Nature Center and Blue Mash this morning. Nice selection of shorebirds at Blue Mash, see ebird list below. Most interesting bird was an odd-looking duck on Lake Frank, which I assume to be an American Wigeon x Mallard hybrid. It was amongst other Mallards and allowed for good comparison.

Canada Goose 4 Wood Duck 4 American Wigeon x Mallard (hybrid) 1 Duck only slightly smaller than mallard. Slightly shorter and yellow bill. White hip patch, pointy tail and primaries. Mantle uniformely brown/gray (not scaly) with vertical streaks on sides. Head uniformely gray. Was seen relatively close in good light among mallards allowing for good comparison. Bird was seen on Lake Frank.
