I'd like to retract my Maryland Birding Facebook suggestion.
There is little need for generating bird-interest outside of our own tight-knit community. And having a free site where wisdom could be passed down from an experienced birder (for example someone like Kenn Kaufmann on the Ohio FB site) to a young, just-getting-interested birder/naturalist would do little to help me raise my state and county tick totals.
I'm kidding of course... sarcasm.
My suggestion was not meant as a replacement for this listserv, more like an expansion for Maryland-specific bird discussion.
