Barry and I went up after seeing David's post and met 3-4 other birders at the spot indicated. While we were there the Avocet stayed on the Montgomery Co. side but had apparently been flying about a bit, sometimes into Howard Co. This was at about 11:30 AM. Afterwards we drove up to Triadelphia Lake Rd and walked up to the shorebird spot from the parking lot. Water levels are still a bit high and most shorebirds were pretty distant. Species seen included distant Pectoral, Semipalmated, and a few Least Sandpipers, 1-2 Solitary and Spotteds, maybe a dozen Killdeer and 1-2 Semipalmated Plovers. We left there about 12:30 PM.

Subject: [MDBirding] American Avocet at Triadelphia Res.
There is an American Avocet on a spit on the Montgomery County side of the Reservoir, viewable from the pipelines accessible from the Greenbridge Rd. site.
