Kurt Schwarz and I spent the last 25 minutes without seeing the Avocet. As we were about to leave it flew out of Pigtail Cove and returned to the spit of land in Montgomery County. It is still there and visible from the pipeline.
Still retaining alternate plumage. It is probably a male.
