We went to the sod farm this morning to look for the previously reported Upland Sandpiper(s). We did not find any but saw two BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS with at least 25 Pectoral Sandpipers and 35 Killdeer in a recently-cleared patch of bare ground on Blueberry Rd.
At 2:00 Elaine Hendricks texted to let us know she had found the UPLAND SANDPIPERS further west on Blueberry Road. When we joined her, there were three birds.
We all returned to our first location to look for the Buff-breasted Sandpipers again but did not see them, so Elaine continued searching and found one on Tull Rd.
