Thank goodness they put schools near some fine birding hotspots.
Port Tobacco: a few Forster's Terns, Laughing Gulls and no interesting waders. Two Marsh Wren were singing. Mudflat in the river looked great for a rare shorebird... :))
Morgantown: dry and zip. Some Royals and Forster's Terns.
Everywhere is super dry. The drought appears to be noticeable / severe here in Charles.
A quick stop at Allen's Fresh produced three Killdeer, four Bald Eagles four DC Cormorant and a vocalizing LARGE RAIL SP. I'll ask all of you bird experts: most likely LG RAIL SP. here would be???
Also of note: haven't seen a Swallow of any kind today. Weird.
