Saundra,
The Mute Swan at Fulton Pond is a pet of the Turkey Farm. Its wings are
clipped. There are several pet Mute Swans in Howard County, 1 at
Beaverbrook, 2 at Turf Valley (they are both females per the permit), 1 off
Carroll Mill Rd (I haven't seen for some time), and the 1 at Fulton Pond.
It is believed that the Mute Swan will keep the geese away. I don't think
it works.
There were 3 Black Swans across from the fair grounds but we haven't seen
them for a long time.
