Subject: [MDBirding] Ravens in Balto City!

While doing wildlife survey at Masonville Cove, N of city/anne arundel border, I heard a very loud croaking coming in from the south and saw two ravens landed on bridge trestle across street, a minute later, was mobbed by 3 american and one fish crows. I lost track of it headed NW. I got two of MES crew to see the massive birds before it flew out of sight to the NW. I can see the orioles and raven stadiums to the north. - Kevin Graff

Subject: [MDBirding] Common Raven along Route 32 (Anne Arundel Co.)

Hi Everyone,

For the first time in many weeks, I saw a COMMON RAVEN perched along Route 32 east of 295. It was perched on a tower (south
of the road) to the east of exit 8 along Route 32. As I've mentioned in previous posts, please
be very careful pulling over on this stretch of road for two reasons.
First, there is heavy traffic on weekday mornings and accidents are
frequent. Second, this stretch of road borders Fort Meade, so if there
was a location where you're likely to be harassed for suspiciously
pointing binoculars, this is it. This area is becoming a pretty well established
southeastern edge of their range expansion.

Good birding!

Bill
