Hi All,
I made a new page for this group at www.mdbirding.com . The reason for
making this site was twofold. 1) mdbirding.com is a whole lot simpler than
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/mdbirding and 2) Burying
instructions about how to sign up within old posts wasn't working very
well. Now that it's up, I hope it can also be a place where someone new can
at least get introduced to other web assets of the maryland and dc birding
community. The links page (still getting started) will try to act as a hub
for any other communication avenues/sites that exist. Speaking on this
point, there has been a lot of hubbub about the facebook group. For those
frustrated about it not being viewable without an account, the following
page http://www.mdbirding.com/facebook.html might be of value. Note that
photos or other media will not show up, however.
Also, the signup instructions (http://www.mdbirding.com/signup.html) have
been revamped considerably to make signing up as easy as possible. If you
couldn't quite figure out how to signup through google the first time,
consider checking them out. The link at the bottom may be of interest if
you signed up without a google account and want to change your
name/settings.
