Subject: [MDBirding] Olive-sided Fly & More - DC

Hi Everyone,

This morning I headed out to SE DC and checked a number of sites. The first location - the RFK Stadium parking lot puddles had only one shorebird, but it was nice (for DC) - Semi-palmated Plover, along with a large flock of Laughing Gulls.

A little later I headed over to Kenilworth Park, but it was pretty slow with no birds of note seen during a 20 minute walk in the fields.

I headed over to my last stop -Ft. DuPont park (off Minnesota Ave). I ran into a couple of warbler flocks made up mostly of Canada Warblers and American Redstarts. But I was very happy to find a female Wilson's Warbler keeping up with the pack!

Best of all was a cooperative Olive-sided Flycatcher seen in a clearing north of the Community garden. For exact location take a look at my flicker photo location.

Here's the link to my eBird checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S11370082

Good Birding!
