Hey everyone,
Jared Satchell and I birded in Dorchester County this morning. We started at dawn on Elliott Island Rd where we spooked a Chuck-will's-widow that was sitting in a tree. We concentrated on migrants in the marsh hammocks and we were not disappointed. Migrants included:
American Redstart -- 18 Blue-winged Warbler -- 2 Yellow Warbler -- 1 Worm-eating Warbler -- 1 Louisiana Waterthrush -- 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher -- 3 Eastern Wood Pewee -- 4 Eastern Phoebe -- 1
Other birds that we saw included:
Blue-winged Teal -- 11 Common Moorhen -- 2 Semipalmated Plover -- 4
Hurlock had little of interest except:
Northern Shoveler -- 6 Blue-winged Teal -- 3 Black Tern -- 1
