Subject: [MDBirding] PG Dickcissel, Mourning Warbler

Hi Everyone,

I birded around Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary this morning with the highlights
being a single immature/female DICKCISSEL along the entrance loop and a
MOURNING WARBLER down by the Turtle Trail off of the Critical Area Driving
Tour road. The Dickcissel was flushed from the Eastern part of the Sorghum
patch that has been planted along the loop near the visitor center, this
area also hosted impressive numbers of INDIGO BUNTINGs (49), BLUE GROSBEAKs
(18), and BOBOLINKs (65). A non avian highlight was finding at least 3
DAINTY SULPHURs also along the Critical Area Driving Tour road.

Photos of the sulphurs can be found here:

Good Birding!
