Classic immature female Pine Warbler. It has a short thick bill, which is pretty indicative of pine, Magnolia and many of the other related warblers have thinner more down curved bills; Magnolias are usually not that chunky looking either. As far as plumage its too dull and uniform for almost anything except an immature female pine. There is hardly any contrast between the head and back, and the belly is dull buff color, any Magnolia should have brighter underparts with a grayer head and greener back. As far as Bay-breasted and Blackpoll (the Pines main "confusion species"), it can't be either of them because of the bill structure (too stout in this bird for them) and the relatively short undertail coverts; both of the other species have a longer slimmer bodied look because of the longer wings, slightly shorter tails and long undertail coverts.

It's not a first fall Pine. It's a first fall female Magnolia Warbler.
