Today's pelagic out of Lewes was fantastic! We motored out well into MD
waters and here are some of the highlights:

HERALD PETREL(Trinadae) ****MEGA- first MD state record; Flying right at
us within 100' of the boat in the first few minutes of light. Stayed around
the slick we laid out for well over an hour.
2+ BLACK-CAPPED PETRELS **MEGA 3rd or 4th ish MD state record; At least
two individuals seen at the same time with another seen separately later on
in the morning. We will need to compared photographs taken to see if there
are different individuals represented during the first couple of hours of
the morning.
WHITE-FACED STORM-PETREL- very close to the border but seen in MD waters.
BRIDLED TERN- adult bird not photographed but seen well in DE waters
Long-tailed Jaeger- seen in DE waters
120+ Band-rumped Storm-Petrels coming in groups of three and four,
incredible!
40+ Leach's Storm-Petrels in groups of two and three at times smelling
entering and feeding off of the chum slick.
4 Black Terns
1 Arctic Tern
20+ Red-necked Phalaropes

2+ Culvier's-beaked Whales
40 Spotted Dolphins

I am missing things but that's most of it.
