Was very disappointed to have my Intro to Ode field trip cancelled due to rain. Headed up to Centennial Lake to see if the rain brought anything in. The only migrant was a male Black-throated Blue warbler. Did have a flyover Osprey and the Solitary sandpiper remains at the pond by the dam http://flic.kr/p/cYZEzb.
Interesting how the temperature changes the colors of Odonates, this Blue-fronted dancer not showing any blue http://flic.kr/p/cYZFzQ Good thing birds don't change color with the temperature too :)
Yesterday morning I had two BLUE GROSBEAKS move through the yard and an evening Wood Thrush. Watched for nighthawks for an hour but no luck.
