Subject: Re: [MDBirding] Philadelphia Vireo

My yard in Howard County has been absolutely on fire the last three days. In migration season I typically do an early morning yard survey for about 30 minutes to one hour in duration every day. Today produced great looks at a Philadelphia Vireo, which is my first ever for the yard (#145). Yesterday produced a first-yard Red-breasted Nuthatch, and the day before produced a first-yard Blackburnian Warbler. The funny thing is that four days ago I decided to do a "next ten" list of birds that I might expect in my yard. Blackburnian was first on the list, and the other two also appeared further down. So, I've had great fun ticking them off!

I've had good numbers of migrants throughout the week, with no two days alike in terms of species mix.
