Two RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES were the highlight of an early afternoon walk around the Deer Creek Picnic Area at Susquehanna State Park. They were foraging together in the White Pines along the entrance road into the picnic area.
Almost all of the other birds that I saw or heard were within about 20 yards of the bridge over the creek near the southwest corner of the parking lot.
