Awesome Matt! Great post. One thing that bugs me about recording for NFCs
(night flight calls) in the fall (especially in Sept) is well, the bugs!
Specifically, all the noise they make. Much easier to listen for night
migrants in May than now. I never would have thought to go closer to urban
noise to get away from an even louder seasonal natural noise source. Would
you mind me forwarding your post to the NFC listserve? and can you tell me
how many stories the garage is? I may start looking for a similar location
around Gaithersburg.
