Three birders braved the elements and shared a pleasant morning together. Highlights inlcuded several Yellow Rumped Warblers and several Magnolia Warblers. We also saw a juvy Ruby Throated Hummingbird, a juvy Black Crowned Night Heron and a Great Blue Heron. We observed many American Goldfinches as well as Gray Catbirds, American Robins and Crows. We also encountered multiple Carolina Wrens and House Wrens as well as a Phoebe. Particularly interesting were the dozens of Chimney Swifts continually circling around the area of the dam and boardwalk. Not really bad for a very overcast and drizzly early morning walk.
