Went to get a feel for the sparrow habitat at WRP for Sunday's upcoming trip. I was very happy with the conditions there...looks better than it has in years. Was so glad I did and spent a few hours in the lower entrance "pond" that was full of Savannahs and Songs...a surprise of 5 Grasshoppers in various age stages was wonderful. The Grasshoppers made for number 6 on the sparrow count today!
A Long-tailed Skipper was an awesome surprise!
