Subject: [MDBirding] Wheaton Regional Park--mini-train tracks/Pine Lake -- Sep 23, 2012

Good morning at Wheaton Regional. It was better early from 6:45 - 7:30 before the winds picked up a bit. Eleven species of warbler including Wilson's and Tennessee. Good number of Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks. Also had a Purple Finch near the white house and a Red-Breasted Nuthatch. A rather desperate young Coopers couldn't catch a squirrel so it went after a Kingfisher that flew just inches off the lake to avoid it. Later it buzzed my head from behind.
