Hi Everybody,
The Kent County Bird Club will be hosting a field trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Delaware on Saturday 29 September. Our primary targets will be waterfowl, gulls & terns, herons, and shorebirds. The most recent reports on the Birdline Delaware birding hotline are from last week, but we can certainly hope that the numerous dabbling ducks still include a recently reported CINNAMON TEAL, and that some of the 700 American Avocets and other good shorebirds (including both regular godwits) reported then are still around.
We will meet birders in front of the Dollar General store across from the end of Spring St. in Chestertown at 8:00 AM on Saturday. If you wish to meet us in Delaware please give us a call so we may plan on your attendance. We hope to see you Saturday.
Good birding,
Walter Ellison & Nancy Martin
