Subject: [MDBirding] Wheaton Regional Park & Brookside Gardens today

Hi all,

After a miss yesterday (appointments) we went to WRP and BG today -- we expected it to be slow and were not disappointed <gr>. Other than 100+ blue jays flying over throughout the morning, it was very very quiet. Interestingly, Brookside Gardens was more active and this was after 9:30 AM. At WRP we had a large flock of chickadees mobbing something and the noisy action attracted 0 warblers, 1 scarlet tanager and 2 pewees, Kind of told us not much was about...A definite decline in catbirds, robins and flickers. Need another good cold front!
