Subject: [MDBirding] Connecticut Warbler at Audrey Carroll-Frederick County

I had a really good morning at Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary. At about 8AM I found a Connecticut Warbler near the bench (not the blind) by the pond. Brownish hood (no yellow throat), obvious white complete eye ring, long, yellow undertail coverts that bulged out, short tail, belly was not as bright yellow as undertail coverts, olive brown back. It was noticeably larger than a nearby Common Yellowthroat.

Other warblers included a first year Cape May, lots of Magnolias and Black-throated Greens, and an Ovenbird.

Other highlights were 6 Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1 Swainson's Thrush, and 2 Gray-cheeked Thrushes that popped up with the Swainson's for a nice comparison.
