Kevin Graff pointed out that it was late for Kingbirds. I went back to check this morning. It was cold, chilly and gusty. Very quiet. Too quiet. Then I saw the Cooper's Hawk zipping along over the top of the graves. He settled on a headstone near the monument for Edward J. Bird :) I did see half a dozen Phoebes. Let this be a lesson to me. Look closely at the things you are sure you know. Yesterday, I had a distracting non-birder companion, the bright light made the birds look darker than they were, reflections played across everything--I thought I saw a white tip on a tail. Take nothing for granted. Thanks Kevin!
