Subject: [MDBirding] Milford Mill/Cromwell SP birding

An early 1 1/2 hr stroll at Milford Mill was surprisingly quiet, with the only activity being about 5 or so RC KINGLETS and indications of continued migration of the JAYS, ROBINS and FLICKERS. Mary Anne Fluke had a momentary glimpse of a SWAINSON'S THRUSH high in a tree.

I then drove over to Cromwell SP for about another hour's birding. Again, not a whole lot of activity, indicating the recent influx of warblers had mostly cleared out. I did get some more RC KINGLETS, including 1 GC KINGLET; more FLICKERS
and a DOWNY; more JAYS & ROBINS; a
BLUEBIRD plus C'dees, Tit, Catbird and C
Wren; MAGNOLIA, BT GREEN and PALM
(W race) WARBLER; also, CHIPPING SPARROWS, Goldfinch and a female INDIGO BUNTING. Overhead, a calling RT
HAWK, RS HAWK and a COOPER'S HAWK
which occasionally chivvied the RT(!) as
they circled overhead.

Forgot to mention a WB NUTHATCH was heard at Milford Mill.
